Women's Enterpreneurship in the Gulf

   

Malone is attending the Dubai's School of Government's event called "Supporting Women's Entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf" on the 3rd of November. 

A report was recently released on businesswomen in Saudi Arabia as a backdrop, the panel discussion will encourage a conversation about women’s entrepreneurship in the GCC with an emphasis on intra-GCC relations and frameworks. It will touch on a number of entrepreneurship related issues and more specifically, will highlight best practices in: data collection and maintenance, technology integration, access to capital, legal and administrative reforms and access to regional and international markets .

The event highlights the value of supporting female entrepreneurs; the event discusses how to navigate the challenges associated with access to capital; and what policy interventions are needed to improve the business environment for women.

The aim to present a regional perspective on how governments can support women’s entrepreneurship to grow from small businesses to sustainable medium and large enterprises.
