Buy Burberry hot off the runway from iPad






Two weeks ago was Gucci's biggest anouncement of the year with the launch of their Flagship Digital store. This week, its Burberry embracing online Retail the social media way!! They have partnered up with Apple  to set up iPads at 25 Burberry outlets worldwide, allowing shoppers to browse and order from the Prorsum S/S 2011 collection instantly during the live broadcast of its London Fashion Week show,with delivery arriving in just 7 weeks – way ahead of standard time.  "We are now as much a media-content company as we are a design company, because it's all part of the overall experience. It's a big deal - it's changing the whole system of buying, and the whole cycle of production.,” says Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey. 

This move will no doubt create a whole new method of purchasing and re-wire the global shopping culture for generations to come.
